Phoenix Rising: Secure the Future for Iowa Gamma

For 100 years, 140 Lynn has been an icon and a home to generations of iowa gamma brothers

For generations, the Iowa Gamma chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon has shaped the lives of young men attending Iowa State University. Inside the chapter house in Ames, brothers have forged lifelong friendships, discovered leadership potential, and built a network that continues long after graduation.

The Iowa Gamma house is more than a building—it is the center of the brotherhood experience. It has hosted chapter meetings, recruitment events, alumni gatherings, and countless moments that define what it means to be an SAE.

Today, the house that has supported generations of Iowa Gamma brothers requires significant investment to ensure it can continue serving the chapter for decades to come.

Our Need

Like many historic fraternity homes, the Iowa Gamma house has accumulated years of deferred maintenance and aging infrastructure. While dedicated alumni volunteers have worked to maintain the property, several systems and spaces have reached the point where renovation is essential.

Without meaningful investment, the building will continue to deteriorate, impacting the safety, functionality, and experience of undergraduate members.

To address these challenges, Iowa Gamma is launching a comprehensive capital campaign focused on repairing critical building systems, modernizing interior spaces, and enhancing areas where brothers gather and build lifelong connections.
